She's Words: Habits? Vices? Pleasures?

As of Monday, it's been a good and unholy week for me. I absolutely went cold turkey, guys and gals. Now I'm sick and have been cranky for days and sometimes that puff of nicotine in the lungs is better than fresh air. That's where I start to think, do I want to get all wrinkly and sagging in the face? So cold turkey it is. I mean there are other reasons to why I WANTED to quit, solely because of my health. I'm the type that already thinks the government puts shit in our foods so why aren't they putting it into the cigarettes? Ok, enough of my conspiracy theories, it's been 1 week since I left you and at times when I'm stressed, dammit I want to light one up baby. They say the hardest thing to do is quit smoking that tahbakkah! And I agree. I think the first 2 weeks it's all physical. You know, all that hacking and spitting up weird phlegm creatures then after that it's more mental. It fuckin' is all MENTAL.

I had my first stoge when I was in 7th grade. By freshman year, I was buying packs and to tell you the truth, it might have been to be like everyone else. I was a freshman, who knows what I was thinking. After that, it went down hill, I was THAT SMOKER. I hid it from family members because in a Filipino household, relatives tend to look down upon you. Papa was a smoker so he knew. He even told me that even though he does it, it really isn't good for you. He knew I was smart enough to make my own decisions and even though it took me till I was 25 years old to say "This taste like shit" at least I'm here trying. Phew!

I dropped one "pleasure" so I really can't start another bad habit. I already do enough, hah. I love my sunshine and wine. I can't help it. I would rather drop cigarettes than not have my wine or sunshine. That is just not acceptable.

As of today, April 2, 2008, I also stopped eating meat. Yes, I became a veggie head. No reason. I just kind of said to my friend, Janelle, "You know what? I'm not eating meat anymore." I asked her all these questions like "What about eggs? Can I eat them?" Weird. I know! But I want to give this a try.

I'll miss my chicken. I'll miss my oxtail (I don't care if you say YUCK but that shit is good!) But whatever. It's not the end of the world for me.

So friends, please please please please uppercut me when I try to bum a stoge from you. Lol.

i missed this post.
welcome to the fold of vegetarianism.

in the beginning be careful of over-strictness (if you're hungry and there's nothing but meat around, you should probably eat meat)

be good to your body
